Justin Brashear

 

Justin Brashear was born January 19, 1985 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He graduated from Barbe High School in Lake Charles in 2003 with honors. Justin went on to play college baseball at the University of Mississippi under former LSU tiger, Mike Bianco. He now resides in Baton Rouge with his wife Autumn.

  • 2001 Louisiana High School All-State selection at first base
  • 2001 World Champion with USA Youth National Team in Veracruz, Mexico
  • 2002 Louisiana High School All-State 2nd Team
  • 2003 Louisiana High School All-State Catcher
  • 2001 - 2003 1st Team All-District 3-5A
  • 2003 Played in the Louisiana High School All-Star Game
  • 2003 Played in the Inaugural AFLAC High School All-American Game in New York City
  • 2003 Louisville Slugger All-American
  • 2003 Drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the MLB Draft but elected to go to college
  • 2004 First year on the Ole Miss Rebel Baseball Team
  • 2004 - 2005 Played for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod Summer League
  • 2005 Member of Ole Miss’s Oxford Regional Champions that beat Oklahoma
  • 2006 Member of Ole Miss’s team SEC Tournament Champions
  • 2006 MVP of the Oxford Regional versus Tulane
  • 2005 - 2006 Played for Ole Miss in the Super Regionals versus Texas & Miami
  • 2006 Drafted and signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the MLB Draft
  • 2006 Played for the Pioneer League Champion Missoula Osprey
  • 2006 Played for the Yakima Bears of the Northwest League
  • 2007 Played for the Southbend Silverhawks in the Midwest League
  • 2007 Corporal Paul DeGuch Award Recipient for Community Service in South Bend
